Blessed Memorial Day: Remember Nothing Good Happens Without Sacrifice.

Phil. 2:16-17, “Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.  Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.”  The USS New York (LPD-21) is a US Navy transport dock.  It carries a crew of 360 and carries up 700 marines and their equipment.  It was designed for one purpose – to conquer terrorism to the ends of the earth.  This Navy ship was built in New Orleans and weathered Katrina while under construction.  This ship was partially built out of the 911 Trade Towers’ steal.  The USS New York’s motto is “Strength Forged Through Sacrifice.“  Those whose lives are forged through the sacrifice of Christ will be strengthened to “hold forth the word of life.” Their life will not be in vain as they live and proclaim liberty, life, and the gospel of Jesus Christ.  No sacrifice is too great when it honors Christ and points the way of freedom from sin and sin’s terrorism.   Remember, “Strength Forged Through Sacrifice.”
